Entry 1-3/13/07
1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done?
I have done research projects in science and social studies classes.
2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
Reseach to me means to find information to the questions you need to answer.
3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
I have only had research failures. It takes me a very long time to find the information I need, if I find it at all. Research is a negative experience for me. ----
Teacher Respons March 15
I am so sorry that you find research so difficult. I must admit that get stumped during research quite often, too. What can you do to make it less frustrating?
I don't know what would work to make it less frustrating, but I could try knowing exactly what I need to know before getting started.(-Clare)
Your grade is 9/10.

1. I think the webbing process helped/did not help me find a topic because:
The webbing process helped me with brainstorming an idea and thinking about which one I was most interested in. Entry 3-3/15/07
1. Topic: Sumer
2. Why you chose it: I chose it because I want to be an architect when I get older and I thought it was neat that they had their doors on top of their houses.
3. What you already know about your topic: I know that Sumer had agriculture and that the people of Sumer traded among each other for the things they needed. They also got to specialize in their jobs. Sumer had mountains to the north and the east, and deserts to the west. Summers were very hot and storms blew in for the Persian Gulf. Sumerians worked hard to control the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers because they did not flood regularly. They learned how to make wine from the dates on date palms. Teacher Response March 16
